Do you need some advice or assistance instructing larger repairs in your home?

The FREE Advice and Information Service offers an impartial advice to homeowners and private rented tenants to enable and support older and disabled people to carry out a range of repairs and improvements to their homes. The service is available to people who live in Glasgow who are aged 65 and over, or have a disability, irrespective of age. Our Advisors provide information or technical advice either via phone conversation or where required, we will investigate further by arranging a home visit.

Advice on the nature of repair work and improvements that may be required.
Assistance to agree terms when appointing a contractor.
Assistance to monitor the quality of work undertaken.
Signpost and refer to other help agencies i.e. Home Energy Scotland, Welfare Rights.

Roof work, damp / rot work.
