SHA is proud to be a part of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland, a national initiative supported by the Scottish Government and local health boards. The scheme helps organisations show that they are welcoming and supportive of breastfeeding families, and it reinforces the legal rights of parents feeding their babies in public.
What the Scheme Means
Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland aims to ensure that:
- Parents feel comfortable feeding their baby in public.
- Staff understand the law and offer support where needed.
- Visitors know they will not be asked to stop or move while feeding.
Parents will be welcome and supported at out offices.
